I put my position in there, but the game fraked me over hard yesterday, so I'll give it some time before I touch it again.
Seriously, first off the game erased mine and a friends characters of about 25 hours. Then, slowly getting new gear, we walked from solnichny to cherno, where my buddy fell through a roof and died, so I had to wait for him to move back up, this time from Kamyshovo. After we got some weapons from Balota airfield we went to the cherno firestation, where my friend glitched through the second floor and died again. about 20 minutes later he had run up again but was totally exausted and starving and literally 10 seconds before he could eat something, he went unconcious. I had nothing to help him, so I force-fed him some food and water and waited, but nothing happened for several minutes. He tried logging off and on to see if that would change anything - and it did. It spawned him on the beach again. He tried moving up once more but by the half-way mark the server restarted.
If you disconnect from a server and immediately reconnect your character will be erased and you will spawn on the beach. So always wait a couple of minutes before reconnecting.

That's nice to know! I wish I knew that before I lost a character that had literally every usefull item that's in the game right now in his inventory . Although I feel that it must've been about 10 mintes before I reconnected after logging off to wait for my friend to get on the server.
Come to think of it, he played for the first time in a week, so that couldn't have been the problem for him... Whatever, buggy Alpha. I just wish I lost my stuff to somebody that bested me, not an angry server.

sometimes there are connection props to the hive that causes you to loose all your stuff.
Exit the game, wait some time (unclear reports how long) and connect to a different server.
I was lucky and got all my gear back the one time it happend
Managed to reach .sup's group at last. Now I know why I wasn't excited to play it alone...this game is made for teamplay...but i guess that's not big news
Added my approximate position, stalked 4 guys running together in the forest, decided to just ignore them after a while and just disconnect, so I'm kind of lost.
