Ok, after 4 rounds of Attrition here are my first impressions.

1) I don't like the default sticky aim; changed that before round 2
2) Cycling through your weapons with the mouse wheel doesn't bring up your anti-titan weapon; didn't like that
3) Played 2 rounds with Rifleman, 2 Rounds with Assassin; I'm so used to ADS, i didn't really use the smart pistol effectively. I didn't notice a lot of recoil in the carbine. I did unlock the CGB (?) but didn't play that class
4) Played 3 rounds with Assault Titan, 1 Round Tank (Unlocked Artillery but didn't play); The Tank class shouldn't be run solo; it needs the support of other Titans and Infantry, IMO. All titans have this weird 'dashing' mechanic, reminds me of dodging. I wish the Titans could jump.
5) Wall running/jumping is pretty fun. I could probably do that all day. I need to learn when to attempt and when not to attempt because not every surface can be used to wall run to get to higher ground.
6) While I'm not a 'run-and-gun' type of player I didn't find that i had to in order to keep up. The pace was definitely chaotic; I was expecting more chaos and could just be with the group of folks I played against.
7) The visuals were pretty cool, I must admit. I'm not a video/graphics expert but I thought the visuals were just right for this game. Also, I didn't have any issues with frame-drop or stuttering. The action was quite smooth and fluid.
8) I got bored playing it. I probably could have played other modes but I felt lonely playing without my GC friends. That and I didn't notice a lot of in-game commentary, or I was too focused on surviving.
9) I'll play again but I'm not sure how we (as in GC folks in the beta) would wind up playing together. There's no server browser so it's all match making. :-( I think, for me, that's the biggest drawback.

I really didn't want to like this game but I agree with Loa: it's Fun!

When I play the other modes and classes I'll post more.

I think the way to play with friends (as someone mentioned it on a chat yesterday) is that you join a lobby after clicking "Play" and then you can invite your friends to join you.

Im about to play it myself, so I'll leave my opinions here later.

Slice Shadow and I played in a lobby earlier, really like the mechanics. Reminds me of COD2, the last good one IMO.

I played today and reached level 12...sure that was fast.

Its actually fun, although I think it will get boring quick...or at least only playing two maps would make me quit after 30 minutes. I would do something else and then start playing again.

Had an awesome moment where I was riding a fellow titan and started shooting the enemy titan. He was almost dead when I jumped from my teammate on top of the enemy and unplugged his juice cable. Pretty nice!

There is basically no recoil to the weapons and I didn't like that Grunts and Spectres are useless.

Yea I got to 14 with only like 3 hours of playtime. Doesn't really bother me though I don't play to level up. I only ever cared about levels when I played things like HALO where the level was skill based more or less.

I haven't really gotten bored yet. Then again last few days been playing with snoop and another friend. I think playing with other people makes it last at least in my opinion.

Don't mind the virtually no recoil too much personally It is the future it's possible they've discovered how to vent the gases just right to compensate perfectly for muzzle raise. At least that is what I tell myself at night lol.

The AI lackeys do need a bit of a boost I agree. Like they can be just as crappy at aiming as they are now but they need to react a little quicker. They tend to stare at you for 5 seconds before realizing "OH crap thats a pilot! Perhaps we should shoot him." Just make them actually acknowledge your existence sooner and it would be fine don't really want them being complete game changers. End up winning a match because your AI units won the game that would be beyond lame.

I played the game and I can say only two things and they are: FUN and DIDN'T GET BORED AT ALL! I absolutely LOVE this game,contrary to my expectations :clap: .Maybe the more ''competitive players'' can start organizing matches and see if this game is good enough for the competitive scene or not.Only time will tell.

Hahahh yeah, exactly what I felt.

There was no "competitive" in mind from the devs but as there were a lot of ppl asking about it, they said they might look into that and modding as well. Hopefully they listen.
