watch dogs

yeah, I'll wait for a steam sale, maybe. idea looks interesting but for an open world game this is pretty funny.

Got it. Enjoying it, haven't gotten super into it yet but it's a pretty solid game so far. Works alright with a keyboard but I certainly think it'd be smoother with a controller. The multiplayer aspect of it is interesting, however at the moment it's super unstable because of high load, I think it'll be cool in about a week or so. I've barely played much of the story so far, I've been really enjoying the dynamic world. I find myself just constantly driving about causing traffic accidents and stopping crimes as they take place. I'm perfectly happen to just walk around the place listning in on people and hacking peoples bank accounts, listening in on conversations.

Escaping police (at least early game) is an Ass, but so it should be. I love the evasion system, I also really like a lot of the stealth mechanics especially how you move between covers and how the enemy alert system works. I like the different types of enemies and the different ways of disctracting them. Ways which are different every time you play - I've tried a few stealth missions or I've died because I'm playing Realisim difficulty, and on restart it seems the enemies are (mostly, not all/always) randomised in distraction methods (or even if you CAN distract them).

With what they have done in Watch Dogs, I'm really looking forward to the next Assassins Creed. They've fixed a few of it's biggest faults and it's not even an AC game!

Eh that video is all like "OMG I WANT TO HATE THIS GAME SO BAD".

I've not noticed and of that stuff and have been really enjoying myself. Car Physics are a tiny bit off but it's very quick to adjust. Haven't noticed half the crap they are mentioning there.

Watch_Dogs is a lot of fun regardless. Though, I like modern GTA-like games, GTA V still isn't out on PC and I've had an itch for such a game. (I never got into the Saints Row games for whatever reason) Watch Dogs has a relatively more serious tone but it has it's own sense of humor and can be just as entertaining in its own way. The interactions with the city via hacking really expands on the traditional GTA open city design.

It has been a pain trying to get the game to run on my system. With a 280x Crossfired with a 7970, I get 50-60fps indoors/closed areas, 40s on the sidewalk and it drops to around 30 while driving. Setting everything to High really doesn't make much difference. I might be CPU bound since I'm still running an OC i7 920 @3.8GHz. It uses 2.5GBs of my 3GB VRAM whether I use Ultra or High textures for whatever reason. Hopefully with newer drivers and maybe a patch from Ubisoft, the game will start running better but I wouldn't be surprised if this takes a while.

Overall though, from the limited time I've put into it, I highly recommend it. Seeing as it was bundled with nVidia cards and you can get a code for around $30, I'm willing to bet the price will come down soon. Grab it when it's on sale. I bet you'll enjoy it.

I'm having lots of fun with this game. Definitely worth the money. I've honestly had more fun with it than GTA V.

A lot of fun truly. and they never advertised realism with this game... which is what I see every complaint about... Not even customization. They advertised the game based on gameplay and I'm enjoying it too.

ubisoft

and that video is probably just making hyperbole of stuff, but I found it funny (I haven't actually listened to it, only watched) considering some of the hype around the game.

For some reason I am amazed by the fact that you can ride INSIDE trains and take a little trip. Plus the invasion thing is pretty fun; I thought it was going to be annoying but it's not.

I was very hyped before the release.

Storyline is amazing and fun.
The surveillance camera's and hacking is a really nice refreshing game play.
Hacking another player I find very difficult, but it is fun to kill the hacker that is in my game
I enjoy the mobile challenge where you have to evade the police.

But I have some critical notes
AI works funny;ie Driving an ambulance, police car or firetruck with siren does not make other cars move a side
Crashing the cars does not impact performance or handling of the car, until it is about to blow.
Waving a gun in public scares bystanders and the alarm the police, even if you fire from a concealed position, however when you are in a restricted area or when you are being hacked you can shoot around and nobody seems to care

It is a shame you cannot choose who's game you hack nor can you place a contract on a specific player, which would be cool.

Looks like we have more then 10 GC members that have the game, would be fun to the 5vs5 game.
I did not look into it all the multi player possibilities, would be fun to try them out.

If you play the game join our TS channel and see what we can do together.

The AI of the people on foot who are just to one side of the car that then run INFRONT of it so you kill them and get negative karma

Definatley be down for some online action. Not really done much other than be attacked.
