Since BF is dead, can we call this Battlefield: Flatline?

if i'm not wrong, the battlog icons doesn't have a jet icon in them, meaning there is not stats for jets.
so i doubt you'll be able to fly that thing. maybe its just a part of a levelution event.
they make these trailers deliberately to make you think want you WANT to think.

BF4 submarines remember? -> ended up as a lousy levelution event.
Naval strike - all out naval warfare -> 3 small attack boats per side at best + hovercrafts.

their videos and statements are often an exaggeration of whats actually going to be present in game.

I'm laughing for real right now. I love the idea, but hate everything else about it. Every time we see a new game from this developer and there's gameplay footage, we see the exact same assets from BF3 recycled into a new game. I totally get that there's a natural overlap when using things like environment and weapon models from game too game, but it's as if they slapped together some new maps with old static pieces, crapped out new character models & recycled something like 90% of the gun models & sounds from BF3 & BF4 to make this. It's like they're throwing BF4 & BF3 into a blender to make a new game.

The more announcements & releases I see from this developer, the less I trust them and the more underwhelmed I feel. BF3 was pretty good, BF4 was a nightmare, and I can only imagine that hardline will be a train wreck inside a nightmare. :?

At least it isn't a modern military game.

Please lord, give us a game on a modern engine that lets us visit the trench warfare of world war one with bi-plane fighting and cannons, or the diverse weaponry and the feeling of true (non floaty plane physics) dog fighting of world war two with naval combat. The steamy jungles of Vietnam, tunnel warfare and the smell of napalm, or even the Korean war with its snowy wastelands and meat grinder hill assaults heavy on smoke and artillery support.

Cops and robbers bleh, how is that battlefield, I think Grand Theft Auto and Watch Dogs has that covered already. I'd even be ok with a decent redo of 2142, and or pay for as many additional DLC packs for BF4 as they care to make at $15 a pop for 4 new maps. (I would think this would make massive business sense)

Let's create a GC development team and start making our own game based on Ghoul's. Everyone's been asking for that and I don't understand why no one actually wants to do it (make a game with an even more advanced engine that can place realistic realism - see what I did there - into a game that throws players back into the world wars).

So, I'm sure the game will be fine. In fact, if we pray hard enough maybe this is just something gamers can have until they release a real BF game 2 years from now (and SW:Battlefront slowly but surely). So we have like BF4 and Hardline to switch between to stay fresh since BF4 will be 1 year old when Hardline releases...
My real protest is that they're selling it at $60-70 with it's own Premium system as well.

Seriously, this would be fine at most $30-40 as a separate game - would have made a fantastic $25 add-on to BF4 - but nope.

It's really a reskin of BF4, so my hope is that they've made interesting maps and game modes and have a polished game to ship.

I want to have hopes for the solo because it's Visceral but I'll hold onto them for now :P Anyway, there could be some great GC games in a police BF !

Looks like something an amateur modding team could make. Pathetic. The story, maps and game modes needs to be fraking amazing in order for me to even think about buying this.

How did I not expect this?
Looks fun, as someone else said in TS3 today, they'd probably sell better if it wasn't called under the Battlefield franchise.
On another note, G0nzo you can practice in this game mode for your jeep driving breakouts

They didn't even change half the weapon models, and all I see is new cars and player models among a sea of BF4 assets. Buildings, destructables, random spools, foliage: it's all just recycled. Just wait until we get an all shipping container map...

At this point I kinda don't even care how good the game actually is. This is BF4 repackaged, plain and simple. This is the height of shovelware and price gouging; even with the extra development time they've delayed for this game will always be an overpriced dlc for BF4 that they made standalone.

You have one crappy battleday... Anyway, if these cars don't behave like hovercraft, the experience isn't gonna be comparable. Seriously, who thought you would have to work with (or rather against) Newtonian physics in a jeep?

Well I never tried encouraging anyone to buy it. I completely agree it should just be an add-on like Vietnam was in BF:BC2. I'm just stating that I had a lot of fun with the beta and have heard a lot of good gameplay coming from it. I will probably never buy it because it's way too expensive and would basically make me want to finish it off with the FEATURES and premium that comes along with it, but it does look amusing.
