that video is pretty boring tbh, nothing is happening for the first X minutes, didnt watch it to the end.
The pace and style shown in the vid can we have from arma as well, right now and we do not get enough players for that.
I know it is the alpha version

Indeed. To me it looks a lot like insurgency: Hide and seek with guns. No thanks.

Kinda looks like an insurgency clone too me, like crooked said. I've never been interested in the authentic military shooters; why can't we get some sci fi FPS games with red vs blue teams or something new? Every single game is modern military and it's always been such a dull theme.

I found this video yesterday and he shows some of the construction system in the game apart from a new map, which seems to be a gigantic desert with some hills n stuff.

The link to where they post builds is kind of annoying to find, but I think the closed alpha is only open on the weekends anyway.

I've got access, I'm hoping to maybe get some time in after the BD or tomorrow.

Waiting for my Seige access key to come in as well ^.^

I've also got access. I haven't been able to join any of the Alpha weekends yet :(

Hopefully, soon-ish, I'll be able to change that...

Does anyone have any impressions to share?

I've played twice, so far, and now Squad's on Steam (if you haven't received your Steam keys yet, they're on the way).

For me it definitely feels like Insurgency but on a bigger map. So far, I've only seen 1 map, don't know the name.

It looks nice, but I still have too much Arcade Gamer in me because I keep wanting to run everywhere but the fatigue element makes slow down. And I keep looking for my mini map, that isn't there.

I didn't take any time to customize the key binds, or anything. I really don't like the sticky-aim; need to remember to turn that off.

It's definitely better when the entire squad talks. My first game everyone was cool and inviting, helping with the game. My second game, not so much. Dramatically different enjoyment levels.

I've not played any role other than Rifleman. There's a crap-ton of game play I haven't experienced yet.

Has anyone played? What are your impressions?

The 9 person squads are cool. Weapons a great. Maps are good. It is very difficult to see the enemy on most maps. Teamwork is key. If the SL does not properly place a rally point then it quickly becomes walking simulator 2015...
