Global Conflict

In case you missed it, Overwatch is on open beta this weekend. I've not played before and found it pretty fun, both with friends and on my tod. But then I just went on a 25 kill streak with D.VA so may be buzzing from how much of a god I am.

I've been playing it, it's really fun! Also frustrating, when you're playing support and your entire team is snipers. The pricetag is a bit too steep for me, hopefully they'll discount it someday.

not only is this the most polished and best working shooter in terms of hitreg and netcode and whatnot of the past I can't even remember how many shooters I've played, it's also the most fun. KOTH on this is what I was hoping the doom beta was going to be like, not the halo-cod nonsense it was.

if you haven't played this yet it runs until monday and I highly recommend giving it a shot. yes it's annoying in a pub when everyone wants to play a sniper or not build a reasonably balanced team, but just in general the game is great. just in sheer quality of experience it's better than pretty much any shooter I've played since probably BF2.

D.VA might be OP, I just finished a game with a kill streak too topping it off with a triple kill by the mech bomb.

I've only played 3 games so far but it doesn't look too bad.

Though I probably won't buy the game how can I pass up this Open Beta, especially after Matsif's glowing report?

Same. But it definitely reminds me of TF2 (and I wouldn't say the hitreg or netcode is worse there).

There's definitely some OP heroes - or maybe not broken but the rest are just really lacking. I recommend playing the daily blitz gamemode or whatever it's called (everyone is randomly selected a hero each time they respawn). That's all I've played so far besides the tutorial and it's felt relatively fair with the exception of half my teammates usually afk because they're new and learning the controls/abilities.

Had some fun with Gwynz, Matsif, Fields, and Sloth.

I mashed all the buttons like I do. It finally dawned on me that not every hero has the same 'reaction' to some button pushes. I desperately wanted to sprint with all my heroes - *giggles*

Damn It! Now I want to buy it. *sad face*

I have to say I am enjoying myself with overwatch give me a shout if you guys play tomorrow (Sunday)

I was sat there at the weekend thinking "I'll just have a quick round of Overwatch" and then remembered I couldn't :'(
