to many high lat players in server

Post by BrownCoat »

Yeah I've been playing in the Global locker server for a few month and it appears to have a lot of high lat players using their advantage of the high lat just making the game unfair and unenjoyable. The server does warn about groups coming in with higher then 200 ping will reset the serer but since they don't come in as a group they just all join and set the teams very uneven and unbalanced. Is there anyway of getting either an admin or moderator to get on every once in a while to make sure things are going fair I can tell you the few clans that are notorious for it if you would like. just though I would say something.

I assume lat means latency. I'm not the server admin, butI'd assume the issue with that, is that global-conflict players come from all over the world, and I don't think it's fair to kick high ping people who aren't in GC, and leave those that are.

Happens a lot on the server. Not much you can do about it.

As for the team-stacking, just join their side. I do it all the time.
(Hint: Wait for the end of the round, then switch teams. Works everytime.)

How many people with GC actually pub on this server? It seems like the only people it brings in are people with complaints about the server and its (lack of?) admining.

I'll occasionally hop on that server but it's lockers and i get bored easily so i check my favorites or the server browser...

Ghoul opened up our regular servers, though - we should try and populate those servers since anyone with procon access (an assumption i have) can do the admin stuff...

Similar complains have come up a few times before. AFAIK the admin can't switch or kick players on 'Official' servers and other settings are also very restricted. It's unfortunate that there seem to be to few admin presence on the server, but OTOH it's also the only way to have a server available for people using the quick matchmaking, even so it won't help you :(
