Game and video recording with Action!

Post by Mack »

I found a program for recording games or desktop, not free but good Mirillis Action!
https://mirillis.com/en/products/action.html
perfect for nvidia cards without frame drops, video file format is NVIDIA /NVEC,
here is video GTX 970 from low 200FPS to ultra max 107FPS @ 144Hz https://youtu.be/Ad6G8JPiwNA
BF4 Settings Editor - nice tools to http://battlefield.realmware.co.uk/bf4- ... /downloads
GeForce Experience does not work for me.

heard of mirillis before somewhere, but many people use dxtory for serious recording, since you can use effective and lossless codecs.

If you are looking for a free recording solution I can recommend OBS.
You can use it to stream AND to record to drive. It also supports NVEC btw.

OBS allows for 120 FPS, but you have to enable it in advanced settings (or somewhere...)

Pause button seems nice, but not "25 euro nice" :D

But good to know that Mirillis is a good option!

Did you upload raw to YT? To be honest, it doesn't look that good and the 144Hz adds no value. It looks lower res. like when I post my shadowplay vids at 8kbps instead of 50kbps.

It looks smooth, just not as crisp as it could be.

i use action myself. i think it is a really great program. in the past i used a .... modified version but after some difficulties with those version i decided to buy it for 17€. the very low CPU usage combined with great quality made me chose it over any other program.

PS: you cant really judge recording quality on youtube. most recording programs will use about 50MBit/s. when you upload vids to youtube they are being converted to ~8MBit.

here is one movie, better quality http://www.filedropper.com/filemanager/ ... 864faf3e71
watch how frames drops on Ultra -100, medium is best settings for me, 60, 120 or 144Hz there is no big difference in frames
if someone buys a new graphic take Nvidia GTX 970,
or GTX980 for me, waste of money for few frames more on same settings.
