I think pilots just need to learn to be more evasive and not give the AA a shot to begin with. If they had simply raised the speed of the missiles theyd be more balanced, but they improved the turn radius, too. The biggest problem I see with jets now is the horrible level of friendly fire kills. Jet...

Hmm. Originally I had my RAM in slots 1&3 (This is an MSI motherboard, and is normal. I think thats actually single-channel mode on this mobo, but whatever). I removed both sticks, reversed their order, and seated them in slots 1 & 2. Has booted fine twice in a row now. Hopefully that did th...

Fail to boot, RAM issue RESOLVED

Ah, the glorious FTB issue. Im posting this from my old desktop right now, and I have my gaming rig on a table nearby. it is failing to boot about 95% of the time, stopping during POST memory test. it says the memory test passed (lists OK) and locks at that moment. Taking out one stick of ram contin...

The MSI K8N Neo 4 SLI Diamond PLUS is a seriously sweet motherboard, goes for around $200USD. Defiantely look at it, too. if you go with an SLI board, make damn sure to buy an nVidia card to avoid even the potential of conflicts. I have a 6600GT PCIX that does well at all medium on BF2. Youll need a...

I don't think I saw this bug mentioned: In the "Meet the Pubbies night" the other day I got another bug where the game jammed me in a particular squad and would not let me leave it, whatever I pressed. Even though my squadmembers still appeared as yellow dots and the squadleader was highl...

Theres another patch coming soon. They mentioned that they may start a limited beta-test with certain people this week. Maybe we could contact EA about this and offer the use of GC players and server for some real-life testing? My understanding is that most testers just test specific things, dont ac...

Thats been in the patch list, Davout. Not really new.

The distance marker is really frigging strange, as it seems to just be there. No idea why.

Probably a squad leader command or something. Thought its odd that it disappeared when you reaached it. Sounds like the 3d map icons you get when your SL gives an order.

I quit using it, mostly for that reason. Ive also found something better, but it requires some very specific hardware. Theres an app for the Logitech G15 keyboard that shows your TS channel info on the built-in LCD. Pretty badass, but it only works with the G15.

Remember, theyre making jump-throwing not work the same. You have to hold alt-fire, jump and release. You cant just jump-throw now, so the longer range is making up for it. Frisbee chucking seems totally gone now.

I cant wait to play with bouncynades from the GL.
