Since they say you cant fire at all in the air, I bet frisbee throwing while hopping goes out, too.
Im turning into a F2000 whore, but the loss if firing in the air wont bother me at all, as I kill at long range with it. Fear the F2000.

Wow. That will change the competition scene4 ALOT for BF2, also. It looks like bunny-hopping isnt going to die, but itll certainly help slow it down some since you have to be on the ground to fire.

The GPU never broke 120 immediately after exiting BF2 after a long session. Popped the card in a display PC at work, and the same "paintball artifacts" appeared IMMEDIATELY. Id already tried uninstalling sound cards, reseating the video card, etc. I didnt try a house fan into the PC, but I...

Wonderful. The only way I can test it is to put it in one of the display PCs we have at work that has PCI-X and see if it works there. As for artifacts before booting, I have yet to see any. To make it worse, I dont have a spare card I can throw in here, and cant afford to buy one (even if I were to...

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? A total reinstall of windows and drivers (TWICE!) hasnt fixed it, GPU temp is well within safe temps, its not overclocked, and theyre still appearing.

Im running an MSI GeForce 6600GT 128MB PCI-Express card. I also know its not a PSU issue, as this PC has a 680w PSU with three 12v rails.
Anyone have any other ideas as to what the heck might be causing this?

Video card temps and artifacting problems...

Anyone know what the standard safe ranges for video card temps are? Ive been getting really nasty artifacting on some textures in BF2 lately, and its getting to the point where its all but unplayable. nTune (HW monitor) currently lists my GPU temp as 118deg Farenheit, with a CPU temp of 100deg. nTun...
