Be careful Tiberian! Someone here posted a video, I think it was around May 15/16th,(video was posted before this date) can't remember what it was for...anyhow, got a message that I didn't have the right codec...a "convenient" link was provided which I ignorantly took. The name of the file...

Matsif, This is exactly what I encountered. http://www.sysinternals.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1446&PN=1 "The 705db3q0 service was successfully sent a start control." I noticed this phrase in my event log soon after having major crash problems. I also noticed a .dmp file under "...

Matsif, Back a few weeks ago, when I had my problems, I remember some strange things in the Event Viewer. Something along the lines of a "service" starting that wasn't listed among my services. It had a weird name like M4972kVA or comparible, I forget the exact name. I googled it and found...

Matsif, If I remember correctly, all you do is delete/remove the pb folder. According to their website, this is the only location that contains any Pbunkbuster files. After spending some time reading their site, I've come to the conclusion they are REALLY snobbish arsholes. Sure they will help if po...

I've had similar problems. They seemed to noticeably reduce after the last EA Server Patch. Are you sure the Pb Servers you're playing have the last patch?
Also, updating Pb (both ways--auto & manual) may be worth a try)

Ok, a recent updated Bios allows me the choice ---> "external USB HD" or something close to that. How do I set up the USB drive for Win98se? Format and install from my internal CD/DVD? Any particular notables when formatting? (partioning/sizes,etc) USB is new to me. Thanks for any help.

Damn, with a map setting of "the rolling hills of Pennsylvania", I hafta see if maybe my house is in it. :) I always wondered what it might be like fighting in my own backyard. (No offense to my Croat/Slav Brothers, who already know) Then again, with all the open strip-mining pits around h...

Hashey, I've encountered similar problems before. First, check your power button that you press. I've had more than a few go bad. If I remember correctly, that switch is a "momentary contact", so you pull off the 2 wires, then touch them together for a few seconds and release. This should ...

Somebody brought up the topic today, seems like this idea is more popular now. Anyone here have experience with it? I'd like to have multiple OS's on the Drive; Win...

I avoid laptops when ever possible. My job requires one though. Over the years, I've had Sharp, Compaq, & Dell. They ALL fail prematurely, even under "normal" use. I believe that the technology is just not refined enough for the luxury of mobility. Buying the 3-year warranty is a must....
