Go to your Bf2\mods\bf2\movies folder and rename dice.bik, ea.bik, intro.bik, and legal.bik. suppose you could just delete them but i just renamed them to .bik2 and it works fine.

that sucks man, thats what my pc was just doing on startup. I could only ctl+alt+delete and end explorer and run explorer.exe and then it would be fine but that got annoying so i reformatted and its fine. wish i could help with why but i did'nt have a clue with mine, thats why i just reformatted. wow only took me 3 times of reinstalling the game for the patch to work...Great Job EA.

i had the same problem in bf vietnam. i had to use a program to delete all the remnance of old drivers and install the newest ones and that fixed it. you couldnt just install over old drivers.. the name of the program escapse me though sorry...mabe someone else here might know it.
