Re: Civilization V Thread
Bitesizebeef and I had a pretty interesting game last night. I, as Austria, started out (again) in a mediocre corner of the map, except I had even less territory, and was directly across a small desert from Isabella's capital, Madrid, who had slightly better land than me and had all the advantages o...

Re: Civilization V Night 7.13.12
Civ V Night 7.13.12 Gominus (Germany) vs Henidhor (Mongolia) vs Zorplex (Hiawathan Indians) vs haruky (Ethiopia) It was a pretty crazy game. We played on fractal and we all chose random civs. Henidhor, being Mongols, attacked almost all the city states near his area. Zorplex goofed up at the beginn...

Re: Help me pick my next city!
Hmmm... I would go on the tile southeast of the lake south of Shanghai. Montezuma is inevitably going to attack you anyways, you might as well get it over with.
Or potentially the desert hill northwest of Shanghai. That actually might be better.

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
Ground Guy! I want it on! Edit: Somebody deleted his own post.... Damn. Now my answer makes no sence. Sorry Chef I meant to hit preview but ended up hitting submit. I typed up a post but am going to leave it overnight (as I generally try to do) and take a look at in in the morning. What I said, in ...

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
I'm poor and can't afford a computer to give me good graphics. To see a soldier medium to long range away is a struggle and 3D spotting helps tremendously to even the playing field against players who have a more luxurious rig. I have a 6750m with 512mb VRAM and have to heavily overclock my card an...

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
No offense, but isn't this a little late? I feel like this should have been decided already by the execs. I like that they ask the opinion of the community, though I do worry for the community's opinion. I do think that a decision to turn it off would potentially turn off some of our airforce guys....

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
For the love of all that is holy 3D Spotting should be turned off. Many people in this thread say they "see no reason to turn it off" and consequently vote for it (a horrible reason to vote for anything, IMO), so here are just a few of the many reasons to turn 3D Spotting off. Realism and ...

Re: PB kicks
Does it mention something about versions? Your Punkbuster is probably outdated and is too retarded to update itself. Try to update it manually.

Re: Planetside 2
If it is free to play, this sounds alarmingly like the world of tanks business plan. Get you hooked on the game with some cool gameplay and the "COME AND PLAY OUR GAME!!! IT'S FREE !!" marketing. Then make progression up the ranks painfully slow unless you give them money. A subscription ...

Re: Question re: interim
No-UI, low-player (4v4 or 8v8) matches would also be fun. How do you tell who's on the opposing team? do you equip different camo? like Russians go spec-ops while US runs desert khaki or something. That's part of the point! There are pretty distinct visual differences between the two sides models, ...

Re: Planetside 2
I'm glad there are other people here interested, (as I've probably told everyone I play regularly with) I'm super excited for this game. The game is Free to Play, so no one has an excuse not to play it, with cosmetic and customization based micro-transactions, though it won't be pay-to-win. /r/plane...
