BF2 Bad CD

will not be playing bf2 again untill later in the year

probably camp9. the cd i have is nackered got 2 cracks in it

so it's not recognised by my PC so will have to buy a new

so will see you guys on the battlefield later in the year.

Get an image for it. Download an image from a site such as gamecopyworld.com and then download DaemonTools (goodle it and d/l the free version) and then mount the image using DeamonTools. Bobs you uncle.

Yes, I'm using that to play when I forget the CD or dont want to get the CD out of the box for nothing

just for curisoty sake, is it the outside or the inside of the CD that is cracked? I always wondered what area of the cd they put the data for the key...

I really am tired of gamemakers that require a CD check... cracks know how to get around them, so honnest people are reduced to shuffling cd's when they have the game fully installed... reduces a PC to a console if you ask me...

first you have to have the game installed on your PC before

an image will work.

and the cracks go right through the cd.

Or you can download a full image. Normally you can get them from torrents. As long as you have a cd key the full image can install the game.

It is in the first 2megs of the CD when looking at the CD heiarchy in the file tree format.

My BF2 CD image is 2megs in size and all I use to start my game.

Having said that, MadRat might be better off using ISO buster to recover his CD and then use the recovered image to create a new BF2 CD image or install said game.

iv'e tried torrents 315days to download no good to me

i'll have bought 1 by that time.

you can only recover the data if you can read the CD thats what i thought anyway.

also I highly advise never to put a cracked cd into a drive.... with the rpm some of the new drives get the chance of shattering a cracked disk in a drive is extremely high and may ruin the drive...
