They're really not very expensive... cost me 15gbp which is about 30USD.

You dont need that expensive stuff or macros or cheats guys.

Keyboard:
I wanted to buy the g15, I ordered it but it took too long so I canceled the order. Still having my LT Internet SE
Image

Mouse:
LT- Mouseman
LT-MX500
LT-MX518
(I won't buy the G-Series of LT cause I'm missing the second thumbkey, IDK why they removed it!)

Joystick:
LT-Attack 2
LT-EXTREME 3D PRO

Design is quite simply and handling still great due to long hardcore typing/pushing/smashing/lanpartying

Everyone has a different feel. I have a LT 3d pro and usually use mouse keyboard as I hate the 2 hand use of the LT joystick. Mouse/keyboard is very limiting in jets. Plus I've seen several broken LT joysticks after little use. I've heard praise of the Saitek spring/feel action around the deadzone. Alot is preference/style. But I'm not happy with LT's deadzone and would like to try competitors. The resistance and play after you work in a stick is a quality issue. Its good to see different opinions as it seems most sticks out there are crappy. Keep posting people, I'm seeing good stuff here.

I have a LT 3d pro.
It is a free replacement of the first I had which broke before warranty ended.
It's dead zone in the center (straight) has increased over time.

But for you Haz, I think you should get an abacus or chopsticks or something that will help me. :)

For the dead zone...try DXTweak 2 or DX Deadzone Utility. I posted link on previous page.
The only down side is that You can't save it under Win XP :?

and also logitech profiler has the option for all axis x y z to setup the sensitivity and deadzone.

Maybe it is too oldschool for you to use the default firmware but Logitechs FW is working good for me

You would be surprized, Ive thrown this joystick as hard as I could onto the ground. IT STILL WORKS! But, as far as a joystick, The simpler the better for a person who is just starting out. I got my joystick for the Flight Sims, but I got bored of those and started flying jets in bf2. It ways more fun.

Thanks for the thought, but these do nothing for deadzone in LT Extreme 3D Pro in Windows XP.

I dont know maybe it is just a feature of the german software version
here e.g. deathzone (Todbereich)

deathzone is to me the area in which the joystick does nothing if it is in the middleposition and if you leave the "deathzone" it starts reacting.
