"POE, SF, vanilla with unlocks" or "POE, SF, vanilla without unlocks".
It certainly would be frustrating if a near half of the voters got aced out of what they wanted because the rule was not '2/3 needed to pass' or somesuch.
It certainly would seem unfair if there was a third choice which drew a couple votes away from the main two and if the third choice had not been there those votes would have gone to the barely second place vote to make a win.
It certainly would be unfair if the vote for unlocks or not was combined with including POE or not as these are two separate issues.
You are twisting facts here and i don't like it. The way you present how the votes went is not only wrong but also unjust.
There has been a post in the votables one full week in advance detailing what i planned asking for comments. It was known before to voters that this will be a two step process. First vote was about which mod to adopt and thus called:
Mod or no mod for #7 Vote part 1
Here we go. Vote is running for one single week, ends next week Sunday my time (around 12:00 CET). The absolute majority of votes for one option will win it.
Which of these mods do you want to play next campaign with at Global Conflict?
Point of Existance 2 [ 9 ]
Operation Peacekeeper [ 0 ]
Project Reality Mini Mod [ 1 ]
None of those. Prefer BF2/SF (with unlocks/more customs/inf only to make it more interesting) [ 5 ]
Don't care. Ok with any option listed. [ 5 ]
I forgot the option that read "all mods" so people where "forced" to pick one mod or tick the "don't care" option (i know about one that voted don't care as he wanted a "all mods" options). Not a big deal to me. I extra included the statement that the absolute majority of votes will win the vote. Asking for a majority of 2/3 of all eligible voters would basically mean no change ever. Not even 50% of votables voted in any of the two votes. Sad but a reality.
The 2nd step was a vote to determine how we integrate the winner from vote one. Since Poe2 won all options included it. For completeness sake i listed Poe2 with Vanilla, Poe2 with SF and Poe2 with SF and Vanilla. Didn't want to miss a option again.
Vanilla and Special Forces (no personal unlocks) [ 6 ]
Vanilla and Special Forces (with personal unlocks) [ 13 ]
just Vanilla (no personal unlocks) [ 1 ]
just Vanilla (with personal unlocks)[ 3 ]
just SF (no personal unlocks) [ 0 ]
just SF (with personal unlocks) [ 0 ]
nothing. Poe2 only. [ 1 ]
I see nothing wrong with these two votes and procedures in a way that would allow anyone to imply they were wrong, stupid, misguiding etc. Stick to the facts and next time get involved _prior_ instead of _after_. To claim that 11 voters voted against Poe2 is just silly. If they really were they would have picked the "No mod option" and not don't care which five of them did. I wasn't very happy with the voteables process and there still is much to improve but i say i worked around the biggest problems we have had in the past by announcing votes a week in advance, stating clearly for how long a vote will run and by which criteria the winning option will be determined.
just call me phil on ts, ingame, wherever. i'll even respond to phil in real life. wooohooo!
