Global Conflict

Been using Laser mouse and keyboard with most flying in any game and feeling flush with monies i fancy buying some joypads / joysticks for flying and ask for recommendations?

So what do you use and is it good?

If you want a joystick, you have 2 options:

Logitech

or

Saitek

I have a saitek, and they're pretty good, solid and resistent. I have a Saitek Cyborg Pro, i definately recommend it.

If you have the chance to get one of the old juwels from Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback 2, buy it (Ebay). This is one of the best. I dont know why MS stopped producing of it. I saw never a better one.

not bad, but i need a couple of more buttons to be able to do everything on the joysick. Here's my layout:

Only down side is that theres no support in Win XP [only drivers] and You have to use 3rd party software which is also not that great :p

without force feedback! Else same joystick hashey and and hitman showed
Joystick LOGITECH EXTREME 3D PRO

Chopper - Joystick
(also single flying/seat switching)
Jet/Bomber - Joystick


But this is no indication for you to do so cause imo everyone should tests with what he can handle best. (to permit a flamewars start like: LoL you are flying a chopper with a stick ROFL and so on...)

These Logis are also cool , I only hate that you have to constantly use the other hand to help joystick stay still.
