In brief, EA are complete morons...
I think my final reply to a thread that has been going on for a month sums it up...

Forgive my bluntness, but blaming the issue on my video card is a pitiful excuse, especially having in mind that disabling my audio card fixes the issue.
Furthermore, the video card is produced by a mainstream manufacturer, runs all my other games without flaws and I don't see how a reputable firm like EA can afford not to have it supported.
I do not require a 15% discount coupon for games that I can not run.
