The website was inaccessible for me for a while, did anyone else have the same problem? It literally just loaded in for me now

I asked 1and1 to reset the connection between the webserver and database server, all is good now.

That's good, also is there any connection between that and the snappiness I'm getting with the website now or is that just a placebo?

still a bit sluggish here so I imagine placebo.

no that's me doing some additional work on the web server to secure more resources when we start developing, unrelated but now was a good time than any
