In a frighteningly basic way...

You create an image in (MSPaint, photoshop, CricketDraw) my sig is 80p high and about 378 long (I think). save it on your computer. Then move it to an image hosting site (Xoto, or putfile)...Copy the linking info and paste it into your profile sig box...using the [img] thingies.

In your sig box:

but make sure you put a [ in front of the first img]

Oh, if you want to show ubb code in a post without corrupting it in some way so it can work when you cut and paste it, used the code tags...

Code: Select all

When you include the image tags in your sig block, you need to include the http:// prefix, or it doesn't work.

You also need to have uploaded your sig to a site that permits image linking from other sites.

Can anyone provide pointers to freebie image hosting sites that work for sigs?

Thanks for the replies. I don't have Photoshop but I do have Photshop Elements. Are they similar? I hope to get busy on a sig today. Hope Hope

Yep, sort of WordPad vs. Word.

Yob, I'm happy to host the sig for you if you need hosting of the graphic.

Pale, Foxylady, Cheesy and myself are all old hands, as well as just about anyone who has a cool sig here, I suspect. Post it for review, and you'll get lots of suggestions. :D
