banned from ts? [RESOLVED]

i was just in ts and switches to a different channel and got disconnected,when i tried to conenct i got"[16:51:48] Unable to login. Your IP has been banned.
You have been timebanned from this server, you may connect in 00:04:58"
wat did i do?
alls i did was switch channels

SOmetimes if the server thinks you have switched channels too fast then it will tempban you. I saw the ban message com in, and according to what you saw youll be able to get back on in under 5 minutes. No problems.

nope.
We had a problem for awhile with TS spammers. Someone would load up a program that caused them to connect and disconnect several times every second. This spammed the channel with a bunch of "joined" "left" messages and made it impossible to talk. To solve this problem Icon put pretty strict "excess flood" limits.
Results = no more spammers but sometimes good members have to wait for 5 minutes if they click a little too fast.

yea i have seen pretty much everyone from the us high command
being kicked for this at one time or another...
