That is not just my opinion, It's also the opinion of lots of others. (just go read EAUK)

Also have to mention i can not be the only person who hates using iron sights.

edit,

Talking about weapon restrictions, From what i have seen during the battles we have had so far, It is the people that do not have the weapon unlocked yet that seem to abuse it.

Looking at you Mr USAS-12
Yesterday on Grand Bazzar must have been atleast 5 people thrashing it's backside, Once everyone has EVERYTHING unlocked the novelty factor "should" disappear.
Not sure I agree as I really felt no issue with any of the weps used with no unlocks.

Honestly on GB you are a fool not to use the USAS. I owned and I am not that good but unlocks will create unballance if you are not used to them. Getting blinded by the flashlight was more of an issue IMO as it was your own team doing it more :).

Airpower will be unreally overpowered if they have all of the unlocks. Taking out a decent crew has proven to be next to impossible and you waste way to much time trying to take one out to be of any good on the ground.

I say no unlocks for close encounter maps like Bazaar, Metro etc., and all unlocks for bigger maps like Caspian, Kharg etc. This way we'd be able to use all the cool stuff on bigger maps and frag rounds wouldn't be much of a problem. On small maps we aren't missing on much.

You need the basic unlocks say up to rank 25 that would give you the unlocks that are fair but not ridicilous.

Repair
Shock paddles
Heal
Ammo

Are the essentials for sure otherwise it's pretty pointless. I guess it is going to be a suck it and see scenairo and test it to the point is becomes a disadvantage..

From an armour point of view you need most unlock like zoom or missiles for the AA and tank to have a second gun or you are never going to be able to defend yourself unless you hop out and shoot people..

Look forward to seeing what is decided

Shock Paddles is the only one of those that is an unlock. There was no revive in BF42 and we did just fine. You can still spawn on your SL and your SL can spawn on anyone. So as long as one person stays up the whole squad can come back in it just might be a few seconds longer.

Even without shock paddles Metro took 40 minutes a round on saturday. With people reviving we wouuld have been playing that map for hours.

I still find them very useful whenever I play hardcore and you only have 60% health there.

I really tried to heal on Metro. Stay Back and throw a medipack next to the fighters. But as soon as bullets hit, it was kill or get killed. Nothing inbetween. That might be only because it was very close quarters on that map, but in that cases i am really missing that stuff.

And dont allways compare to the "good old 1942 days". Playstyle with this game is ALOT different. You cant make BF3 to a modern 1942. The Game-Mechanic is different. And in the "good old BF2" days, we had shock paddles.

On Metro I quite often found myself being healed. We had a medic in my squad who was doing a fantastic job of keeping us alive with medic packs. I would have died a lot more without them.

I think you will see that air is going to be the nightmare with all unlocks. I really wish we would have played an air map last weekend.
