Run the program and it will update over 1.40.
And if you have the same setup as me, you will loose your video settings, unless you backup your configuration files and just replace those files afterwards.

This happens after each patch. I just reset my settings.
I think it is less complicated.

The current patch will upgrade any prior patch version or even install as the only one on a new BF2 install.
