exactly my first thought. the greedy whores of EA are never satisfied.Sup wrote:sales of this game for console platforms aren't profiting enough it seemsPinkAss wrote:They also announced BF Bad Company 2 for PC.Goggles wrote:So there appears to be no PC-based Battlefield-series game in the pipeline besides BF:Heroes? woke up this morning, put on my slippers, walked in the kitchen and died
gee... EAs business is not philanthropy. They try to maximize their profits and produce games they believe people will buy. Nobody is forced to buy. If your/our taste doesn't match the average consumer we're just out of luck. If they are trying to make cheap money by porting some game. Why not? Maybe it's still fun. Woohoo. Who cares? I can imagine BF Heroes will be way different from how we used to play BF2 but who said it can't be fun? All a matter of taste in the end.
just call me phil on ts, ingame, wherever. i'll even respond to phil in real life. wooohooo!
Well at least I'll spend summer time outsideshacknews.com wrote:DICE's downloadable 24-person multiplayer shooter Battlefield 1943 will arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this June, the studio announced today, priced at $15.The promised PC version will then follow in September, carrying the same price point. Technically, it hasn't been delayed, as a vague "summer" release date was originally announced, and summer doesn't end until the autumnal equinox on September 22.
BF:Heroes IS fun. The problem is that you have no ability to either host a server, nor choose a server to join. This basically makes GC-style tournament play impossible.. that's what I was getting at. But I highly recommend the game to folks who haven't given it a try yet, since it's good for a laugh (and the projected $0 price tag can't stop ya).ph1l0r wrote:I can imagine BF Heroes will be way different from how we used to play BF2 but who said it can't be fun?
