So, C4, can you throw it at least slightly again?

For something completely different, they should just make Rez paddles the stock secondary assault gadget instead of noobtube, and actually give some tooltip/hint that explains people that the longer you charge before rezzing the more health the target gets. Also award rez points after how much health you got the target up with to incentivize trying to give the best chance to your teammate instead of just diving into the middle of a street to snatch 100 points and leaving them at 20hp.

Pistols once again also look, sound and act like peashooters. Whoever they had design the BC2 pistols, they just need to give that guy the same job because they were spot on with the amount of feedback and kick as well as awesome sound.

Am I the only one who thought that the RPG was not overly OP? It takes 4-5 hits on a tank to kill it (your entire ammo supply) and you can't resupply ammo until supports start to unlock the decent ammo box. It one hits the attack chopper and 2 hits the t-chopper. I think they should remove the lock on, especially as flares have been nerfed and the stinger ROF increased.

I want to add that the Type99 MBT IS TOTALLY fecked UP!You can go through the gates on the bridge+the aim is glitched.
What do you expect from a Chinese tank...
You can go through the gates with any vehicle if you're on the green side, maybe that was your case?
Nope. You can go through the gates when you're on the red side with Type99.You just need to boost it and TA DA.

I went through the gates with a jeep too, it's a bit bumpy but it works. I think they'll fix the gate for the release.

I noticed the same thing.

From Symthic:
the tank cannon is currently misaligned with all ranges within 400 meters. you kind of have to aim down and to the right to actually get a hit at closer ranges.

I think I did 55 damage to a tank with 1 rpg in the rear once, We have to wait for the symthic wizards to crunch the numbers =)
But yes with the very limited ammo supply rpgs feels a bit weak.

Good question, all my c4 kills was hugging tanks and ifvs.
I can tell you that is feels harder to aim the C4 when dropping it from a parachute.

I saw the gates bug too, as Fisherman said, but I also saw it with the Abrams. Even if they worked properly, those gates on the bridge are 100% stupid and useless, just imagine people on a saturday battleday just suiciding to close it, and the other team suiciding to open it.

Yeah, but that wasn't the case, the bullet was hitting the target all the time, but it was like... impacting the ground below the tank, or behind it, like going through.

Damn you beta, damn you.

Oh lawd... I can't wait to see that happen... We'd have permanent mortar squads targeting that zone. And I bet we'd just see plumes of smoke on it as well. PLEASE DICE. KEEP THE GATES. I WANNA SEE THAT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!

I can't speak to specifics right now, but from what I feel as a tanker, the RPG is ridiculously OP. As an infantry player, because of the RPG's strength, I don't feel scared of armor like I used to, because I know I can 2 shot the thing in the ass and after the 1st shot it can't move. 4-5 shots maybe to the front of a tank sloth, but get behind it (really really easy to do on shanghai, might not be as bad on a more open map) and the tank is basically dead before it can react. Haven't played in APCs enough to make the same comparison.

Add in a lock and faster projectile speed and the best rocket damage in the game, the thing is OP. I don't even mind that it kills the chopper in 1 shot (should kill both of them in 1 shot honestly), as long as it doesn't have the lock on. But the side/rear tank damage and/or projectile speed/reload speed needs toned down.

This all said, I really like tanking a lot more in the beta than in BF3 at any point. It feels more fluid and dynamic, and other than the accuracy problems with the cannon I like everything they have done with armor. I just dislike the fact that as an infantry player there's no reason to fear any vehicles at the moment because all you have to do is respawn with an rpg, 1 shot a chopper with a lock, 2 shot a tank in the rear, and laugh.

I agree, tanking is way more entertained now, it actually takes some real skill and focus to make a huge difference.
But I find really annoying that EVERYTHING destroys an MBT/LAV in the blink of an eye, if they don't change some things around tanking is gonna be impossible in a few months, when everybody realizes that you can disable the tank in the 1st hit and destroy it before it can move again. (Im talking about infantry)

But hey, it's a beta, let's hope for the best, since they did a really good job with the new tanks.

Haruky for 1st pick as LAV driver.

round 3:

-had 2 crashes tonight, still running relatively stable though. Seems nvidia guys are having a lot of trouble still while AMD guys aren't having as much, which I guess is to be expected with the game being optimized for amd hardware and nvidia's beta driver being a heaping pile of poo.

-played only domination tonight to focus on some infantry stuff. it's still CQ domination from bf3, so it's not ideal. think we all knew that, moving on.

-LMGs feel like they are balanced better against ARs. Still not as good, but at least I can score kills with the type 88 without having to be bipodded up in a corner or spraying aimlessly point blank, aiming down sight and bursting has a fair bullet spread (not the BS that bf3 had with LMGs) that allows you to score kills while standing/crouched. Really enjoying the type 88 which makes me hopeful for the m240 and PKP. Also got the big ammo box which is nice, the small ammo bags were kinda lame imo. I don't consider the U100 an LMG.

-the first shotgun was nice. Threw it on my engineer as I work towards the carbines and scored a lot of kills. The duckbill thing felt useless as all it did was spread your shot horizontally more, which would be ok in a tight hallway but is useless in most situations I found myself in. It even changes your crosshair to be spread out horizontal which is distracting and made it harder to aim for me. RPG is still OP, but the splash range is a lot less (like tank AP shells) so it's not as OP against infantry unless you hit something explosive near them. I think I hit a car once and scored a 5 kill squad wipe, shot and looked somewhere else so didn't see the RPG hit. The engy PDW I hate entirely and will probably never use ever again. It just felt weak in all facets of combat, being outclassed by everything else up close because the damage is too low for the fire rate to offset, and being outclassed at range because it's a PDW.

-The head hitbox is gigantic. I'm scoring headshots all over the place, and I'm not playing any different than I did in BF3, and I never got this many headshots. Half the time I'm aiming for body shots and I'm getting headshots on shot 1 or 2 before any real recoil effect kicks in. I feel this is the major contributor to people's complaints about dying really fast.

-didn't play recon, but wow the c4 throw range is much longer than BF3. Blowing up the C4 is still laggy/buggy apparently per fields, said he hit the button 2-3 times before it went off. Snipers are still annoying and with the huge head hitbox it's worse than I remember.

-pickup weapons seemed lame to me. Almost killed myself multiple times with USAS frag rounds and seemed to do much better with the regular shotgun. M82 being a 1 shot kill is pretty lame as well, considering it's 100% HP in standard mode, although that might have something to do with the hitboxes. The 6 shot GL is no better than the m320 or XM25, just it has 6 shots. Still prefer the XM25 to the other GLs so far.

-Not digging the AK12 for assault, but I haven't sat down and played assault enough to really have a good feeling for the gun. Most people seem to like it, so I'll probably play more assault after I get 20k more points with engy to get carbines. :|

-got a 6 man squad at one point. not sure if bug or feature, heard rumblings about 8 man being possible, I'm thinking bug.

-we did a lot of roof camping/assaulting tonight which is really funny with 6-10 people. One point me and fields exited the elevator with shotguns and cleared the elevator side of the roof (1 squad or so), other times it happened to us. Lots of good fights for that roof between going up the ladders/elevator and defending the ladders/elevator.
