the unranked server has two advantages: equality and stats (not being uploaded, so people don't play for the scores, although some still do ).
i might be wrong here, but as far as i know you can set up a ranked server as you like, it'll just show up as "custom" instead of "normal". ranked servers used to have passwords up til R9, now its not allowed.

but that bug is really annoying. some times we have a lot of players unable to do anything, which really impairs the battle.

does anyone observed this bug on other un-ranked 64 (full) servers?

as far as i can conclude this bug is caused by the server (not likely to be fixed by the client, buto means server settings might have an effect on it), and a factor of map and number of players on the server.

So much gun glitch on the Euro server today - 5x in a single round. So painful...

Yep, 3 times for me.

However, my gun came back after about a minute of jumping around switching guns. Much shorter turnaround time than usual.

similar: 1 time only. lasted about 5 secs


edit: 2-3 times on NA, lasted a longer. Longest 2min(?) Reappeared from its own.

Had once in the EU server and twice in the US. Also had an unusual high ping in the EU server.

Had it tonight on the EU server several times, everytime I spawned on a flag or a teammate I had no gun, took between 10-60s to get it.
It seems like it was there but it just took a while for the server to give it to me.
Restarted the game without anything happening.

Got it a lot on EU, never on NA. twice it was only for a short time, twice for longer.

This. I mostly got it after revive.
I also noticed that I sometimes spawned in at a flag quite slowly, as if lagged.

With EU it seemed to be coming in waves. Guns would be lost upon a death, but would be restored to a group after a certain time. I know there were a few times today where my squad ended up all having our guns reappearing at the same moment, and it was happening elsewhere too.

I only had it on Alborz like the majority it seems. As gwynzer said though it seemed to return to everyone at once. As soon as mine would come back every one else would say they just got theirs before i even said anything. I don't know if that knowledge helps find the cause but its definitely important to note I think.

At least one round on NA and EU Server with a lot of nogun glitching. And more random I think. The weapon keeps disappearing for only a few seconds, comes back and disappears again after a couple seconds. Happens mainly after revives and kit switching.

I personally think it depends on which map you play. On the EU server we played Aftermath maps, which are smaller and more confined than the End Game maps. I think the gun bug relates to the amount of people near each other, not to the server.

It happens on both servers which are from 2 different providers on 2 different continents. Didnt show up until relatively recent. Makes me think EA patched in a new feature that seems to mostly only shows up on unranked with custom settings.

To test this theory, we should pub the 'problem' maps Ranked and Normal settings. Fill the server with as many GC people as possible. We can do a friday night pub night for the next couple weeks.

It's happened on pretty much every map I think. It happened during the Level/Reddit scrim, so it's not just us. Something to do with unranked servers, apparently, and authentication.

It's happened to me only in GC Servers. I haven't experienced this at other tournaments/32 community scrims I've played at.
