1.41 came out last July as a beta. There is talk about an official news release stating there is a final patch. The official news release is supposed to happen this week.
Note: I have found no official change log for this 'patch'.

Stop spreading FUD guys. 1.40 was available as beta1 and beta2 in summer. This is 1.41. Please quote some sources when making statements about updates being beta/broken etc.

doesn't read "beta" anywhere. This one is a regular update. During the beta tests no server builds have been released to the public. I already downloaded the server binaries for linux yesterday. I am checking with Gameservers.com if they have 1.41 ready. If they do we'll play with 1.41 tomorrow.

Gameservers.com will provide 1.41 shortly so we are good to go.

Everyone please download and install. 530mb for one fix seems silly but hey this is EA ;-)

To not scare someone with FUD I will make a backedup statement about the compatibility of BF2 1.41 patch and POE2 1.1.5.

Those of you who are playing the match against Gamert tomorrow, will need to update in time. We'll be playing on patch 1.41!

First I am not aware of Gamert.

Second the patch does not work with the current PRMM (no source listed here - so FUD to you, but true to me).

Edit: Nov 20: PR works with 1.41

Its common for the latest patch to break mods until the mod makers update. I'm happy to see EA has released a patch, hopefully its not the last one.

Do I install full 1.41 over 1.4 or should I do something else...?
