Sniper vs Infantry

When
Next tuesday 31 july 21.00 (EUBO, Central European Time)

The story:
There are mixed feelings about deployment of snipers.
Mostly snipers claim to be the best flag defenders and prevent entire squads from advancing.

Other despite the taught of a sniper in their squad, and think that their teamwork can overcome any sniper defense.

Rules:
Commander: Referee on the sniper team. Only providing suplies!!
16 player infantry only server.
20 minute time limit.
GC server settings:
Unlocks allowed
FF is ON.

Maps: TBD

Sniper team: only sniper kits
They will defend an flag.

Infantry Squad: NO support kit and NO sniper kit allowed
They will attack the defended flags.
Squads must be at least 3 man large

MAKE EVER SHOT COUNT.
Because the only way to rearm yourself, is to respawn.

It is NOT allowed to pick up the kit of the other team.
Meaning: Infantry is not allowed to pick up a sniper kit to gain distance advantage and Snipers are not allowed to pick up medic kits to revive or other infantry kits to rearm

Amount of players
Hopefully we get a balanced sign up.
If we get 6 on 6. We play flag by flag (Sniper declare what flag they defend first)

If we get 12 on 12 or more. We divide the amount of defender and attackers on two flags. Each group gets his own flag to attack.
If a flag falls snipers are allowed to help defend the last flag, and the of course the infantry is allowed to support to cap the last flag.

Edit: I gained some new information wich I need to adjust a rule.

If a guy is revived twice in a row then he gets a new, fully resupplied kit.

Due to that a referee will take comander seat on Sniper side to sent in supply crates at snipers request.

I suppose this will be played on the Euro server and as such my 190 ping just isn't up to sniper snuff. Of course I do not think a sniper squad will prevail ...
FF is on correct? (This will be great to watch as the 1337 snipers take each other out with their own claymores, <snicker>)

stonie i think it would be most balanced if both sides get a commander because snipers have unlimited claymores if they have

If this is going to be played on the eu server you have to think about the NA players and with their 100+ ping. Sniping let alone playing is hard with a 100+ ping. It would be cool if we could have say a euro competition and an NA competition to make it fair. Im sure there are more than 12 NA players willing to play.

We can do a NABO.

Forgot to list snipers can take out emplaced defenders. Sometimes a squad cant get in without a sniper popping defenders. Or non revive kills such as in AA, vehicles, etc.

If the number are set great. Is there a chance of spectating? That would bee cool

wtf, am I the only sniper here?!!!! I don't wanna be playing today with a bunch of guys who don't care what they'll be as long as the numbers are even (neutrals) COME ON SIGN UP! I know there are some snipers out there.

We've seen the movie about you Hitman and it seems safe to say you do not need help.

In other news - in general snipers are not known for their team work

- might explain the lack of sign ups
