I still consider Battlefield 1942 the best EVER for ww2 combat simulation. Not gaming, I mean simulation. Take the naval equip at the start of Wake Island and spread it out over 50,000 sq kilometers and increase the time by x10. It is eerily similar, in scale and execution to what really happened. The compressed scale of time and space works wonderfully for a ww2 fps. I do not think COD or MOH or any of the great BF42 MODS ever really improved on that original template.

I still have that camp system idea brewing. Maybe we can make it work with BF3??

(we should have a bf42 day at least once a year IMHO.)

I guess I just proposed a bill for the executives to decide. Not going to let this one slide. We should have a bf42 day!
