Audio cutting out? This may be your fix...

My G35 headset is down, and I don't get the sound problems with my standard sound card, so I am unable to test this at the moment.

Nice find seems to have worked for me. No audio cutouts since i changed it as yet...

I'll have to try it tonight...Now I just need to fix the whole people-disappearing-on-Caspian problem :/

It's bad when the BF community is finding ways to fix things that DiCE apparently can't or wont fix. Flashlights are such a HUUUUGE priority over making the game actually run well...

Gonna Bumpety this topic back up so it can stay seen.
Since changing the setting in the file i have had 0 sound cut outs in lots of hours of play. (too many tbh)
