Dice and EA has confirmed that new and impressive content for battlefield 3 is currently in testing phase in the studio.

Last time something like this came out it was a new set of dog tags.

Still hoping for new maps.

yes but last time they didn't say there was a dlc coming, the just said something new is coming.
DLC means downloadable content, so new maps and maybe weapons.

will we have to pay for it? I mean, an apology gift would be nice from them. Throw in a commander overlay and I'm a happy camper!

lol no, the big dlc's will cost about 10-15 dollar, it's just like the Back to Karkand DLC.

And i think there will be some small dlc's for free.

i can see it before my eyes already .... Wake! At night! And Wake in Winter!! Aaaand Wake in the Morning!!!

There are lots of Wake maps waiting to be published out there! k:bad:

What Iwould like to see is a special forces addon as in BF2?

Well, one thing i don't want to see is a command structure like BF2 ... that crap is just ancient.

I believe the team oriented effort encouraged in BF3 is far more beneficial than the Chinese/Soviet type centralized restrictive system, leaving it to one queen bee to ruin the whole team. It didn't play in RL, why would it be beneficial in a reality based, team oriented shooter ?

Twin Seat Jets were fun, so those should come back ... maybe with a bit more options than to just fire a missile ... and some more vehicles in general ... Ships ... AC-130s ... Hind and Apache's ... maybe also mixed type setups, where you have an A-10 and an F18 or F35 to roll a map ...

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not expecting to be impressed at this point, honestly. If anything, I figure I'm more likely to be annoyed or downright cheesed off by whatever they are planning.

EA says a lot of things only to contradict the very statement they made, an even ones made a day apart. I may be bitter towards EA process towards consumers, but I still see them as pricks.
