Global Conflict

As you might have noticed there has been severe spam bot activity in the past two days. We've been free of spam for the last two years with our security settings which have now been defeated. I have added a new security measure which hopefully will prevent spam.

Let the next couple days be a test to see if these counter measures are successful. I have deleted most, hopefully all spam bots but I can't be 100% certain so if you see any new spam posts don't reply to them! Just use the report button (exclamation mark like button).

The new counter measure can prevent new bots from signing up but can't prevent posting of those already registered if they haven't been deleted so if you notice any spam bot registering after this post has been posted, we ask you to immediately contact one of the Admins so we can deactivate new signups and figure out the next steps.

luffiguepes just signed up so obviously it doesn't work but no worries, we will outsmart them bots!

Also, if you see a bot post, please DO NOT post in that thread.

Just do your duty as a GC citizen and report it!

3 hours since last security measure. No bot has signed up since then. This is looking really good!

Problem is not solved, this bot (it's possible that it is human, but I don't think so) is posting about discounted watches..

If so then its ok. As I said some bots have signed up before and you don't know who they are until they make a post.
