The live "commentators" with the shopped in studio lights were highly entertaining...

Well that's the same as in the Battlelog live viewer.
Didn't we have a big discussion about the position data with the whole 3d sound thread?

Wow, that looks really awesome. Itd be sick if we could have this for the waiting rooms ^^. Was the map actual? or delayed by a bit, because if it isnt delayed at all, it could be used for "cheating"

Ghosting, yeah.
But I definitely want to know how they did it. And also I do think this would be awesome for GC. Advertising and also as dan said, for soldiers in waiting rooms.

It's probably a client sitting in game idling and acquiring the positions the same way positional audio plugins are.

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. You have a live map on the left, scoreboard below, and stream to the right. If you click on any player's name on the scoreboard it lights up on the map itself.
I asked them if they plan to release it, and I think Sighed replied the thing is pretty complex at the moment. He had like 8 windows opened simultaneously to get that thing to work. But ultimately he said they do want to get it across to others
I hope it can also be turned into a sort of a "Commander Mode". Got a lot of potential.

You make a good point RazY. If it could be implemented as a Commander Mode, then the FC may not actually have to be in the game and you essentially get a full 4-man squad, instead of a 3-man with FC. Also, being able to click on a player's name makes it easier to see where exactly a squad leader is on a map, resulting in greater tactical decisions being made and not always having to ask where they are.

It also seems they had been suffering the same no gun glitch issues like us.
