Was under the impression the reveal will be on March 26 for the US though. Hopefully it will more than 30 secs of EA logo and bzzz bum bum bzzz along with a few secs of cryptic images

I cannot express my frustration at BF4. I hate seeing EA sucking money out of people... That said, I'll probably end up buying it.

Dude... BF3 came out in the fall off 2011. BF4 comes out spring 2014. That's 2 and half years difference. Activision comes out with a Call of Duty came every fall. Not to mention that both are giant, publicly owned companies whose goal is to make as much money as they can for their shareholders. What do you expect? That's how capitalism works.

But please, let's end the EA discussion here.

While I'm excited, I'm a little disappointed that it's not going to be 2143 and just rehashes the same setting as well as design. (Based on the released cover art, same color scheme as well as weapons.)

That teaser really did nothing for me, so I guess I'll hold most of my judgement until I see the final product of the trailer.

it can't be worse the BF3, they had 2 years to patch it and instead of fixing our game they gonna make us buy the fixed one. so why not get a fixed BF3? its what we hoped for every patch since the release.

It seems like everyone believes BF4 will be set in a modern setting. However, the insanely short video of a tank suspension system definitely reminds me of a WW2 Tiger tank.

Especially if you watch the original BF1942 intro at :55 and 1:10. You can hear and see a Tiger tank:

They confirmed that BF4 will be modern setting, running on Frostbite 2. I recall reading DICE saying that BF3 uses like 30% of the capabilities of FB2 and BF4 will use more like 80%

don't guess anything. they have plenty of time to optimize the engine. plus i guess they want it to work on the current generation of consoles which means it won't be using a lot more resources then it is now.
