Gameplay

eGO is bringing back events in style with an 8v8 conquest tournament. We are everyone to come join in on the fun in this competitive Battlefield 3 tournament.

In conquest, the team that consistently retains the most objectives during play will reduce the number of tickets (reinforcements) the opposing team possesses. In this tournament, your KDR means little and the objectives mean everything.

Since having artillery vehicles with this few of people usually leads to unfair advantages, we will be prohibiting the use of all vehicles except jeeps (Growler ITV, DPV, and VDV Buggy). Since there is no server option to just have jeeps enabled on some maps, we will have all vehicles enabled but if at anytime a team is caught using a vehicle that is not deemed a jeep, that team will forfeit the current round that they are playing.

Tournament Advancement

Each pair of teams will play three maps. One round per map.
An elimination system will be implemented to keep track of the scores, teams, and matches remaining.

If one team wins the first two rounds, the third round will not be played as two wins constitutes advancement to the next match.

Rules and Guidelines

• All eGO rules apply
• No entering the enemy spawn on Conquest maps
• No exploiting will be allowed
• Be in Ventrilo 30 minutes before the start of the tournament
• Quickly report scores to the ECs
• Follow the ECs/Leaderships directions at all times
• The tournament will rotate around 3 maps (TBA)

Anyone can attend, we have members coming from other clans as well. Ego events are always open.

Some teams have already been formed, im kinda late posting this up here so we will also be forming new teams on the tournament day for all the people who have not yet been assigned a team.

Uhh there is an option? We play on infantry only all the time...

As I said, I was late on posting this here, we initially had a sign up document which has now been disabled and that was used to form some teams.

Depending on how many people show up, we will assign one or two “ heavy hitters “ to each team and the rest would be evenly split to ensure balance.

Yeah I told SuperJ when me and him were setting this up together as Event Coordinators and I guess it never really sunk in...

I am helping setting up the servers for this even though I'm not playing so I assure you it will be set on Infantry Only.

Personally, I find the idea of minimap off to be intriguing. Makes communication, something I need to work on, that much more important.

In fact when we were setting it up I suggested it as a possible setting but we in the end decided not to do it but we forgot to change the post accordingly before we posted.

I am going to try and stream this if people want me to....
