on thursday there was an event in the server event log that stated they were being DDoS'd and they were making some improvements to their network to help prevent it from happening again. could have been we were still in the "improvements" window, or they got DDoS'd again.

I think this is happening with other servers too, I pubbed a little bit yesterday and on Friday and had a lot of rubberbanding.

A lot of people on reddit are complaining about rubberbanding too, tho some of them mention the console server upgrades so I don't know.

It's probably more of that BF4 magic. :D

The rubberbanding on the NA server was the first time for me in BF4, I've never had anything like that on any european servers. Maybe DICE put better hardware on the EU servers since they are from Sweden?

They did a recent server patch in the last week?

yep, but the EU server ran fine and in my attempts at pubbing I've never had an issue (others reported similar). I'm assuming it had something to do with the DDoS stuff.

EU and NA are both streaming the same. Same provider, but since NFO has sold, not sure if their quality is the same as they claim. The customer service has definitely changed. And the lag is getting old, we're getting the DDOS reason from NFO for lag month after month. They're gamers, but the last time I talked to them, they don't play Battlefield.

Very open to a GSP that can deliver.

Have we tried any of these, they have servers in the New York area?

It seems NA server contract has been cancelled, we'll have 2 more battledays out of it. In the meantime we ask players to play on US servers and let us know what ones perform well. If you can find out their hosts and let us know that it'd be appreciated.

May I suggest that if the one of the servers acts up, as the US server did last Sat, we move to the other one.
I have no idea why we continued playing on the US server despite the obvious problems people experienced and reported.
