New BF Hardline Beta Announced!

BF2 was faster paced and had tighter maps than BF1942. BF3 was faster paced and had tighter maps than BF2. BF4 was faster paced and had tighter maps than BF3. Battlefield = Call of Duty confirmed.

I played the Alpha full-time. It was extremely buggy and very narrow, but extremely fun. By narrow, I mean we only had 1 map and 2 gamemodes, so not much to get out of it except the gameplay, which was pleasing. Now that I see all the other maps and large-conquest modes they also include (plus the hostage missions and improvements on HUD, mechanics, and vehicles) I am very interested. Who else will be picking this up?

From the looks of it, it'll probably have vanilla maps a bit smaller than the BF3 vanilla maps. Considering the game focuses less on vehicle combat I don't think this is much of a problem.

Granted the original BF maps are bigger than any new ones, I don't think BF3, BF4, or Hardline's maps compare to how "tight" and "closed" CoD is. Or how fast-paced it is. Also, think of this: you get your fast-paced action in Battlefield with suspenseful firefights and players attacking you by actually controlling vehicles, not 3 second sniper trickshots.

Since BF2, I have pre-ordered BF3 and BF4. For this though, I don't think I'll be getting it just yet. See what people say at launch.

I don't think it will be a bad game. It just doesn't make sense to call it Battlefield.. Hopefully I am wrong!

TTS has been made shorter again which is annoying (make it longer DICE ). It feels smother than BF4 though. Still prolly won't buy it until a sale/premium version as comes out there are better games coming out worth my monies more.

The first assault gun you start with is utter shite but the M16A3 is the tits.

Less vehicles and a crazy theme that makes pretty much no sense = me happy. It's reskinned bf4, though. I'll probably lag behind on this purchase until a sale starts. Also, they added back not being able to even so much as look at menus after you die, which is really REALLY stupid. Can I please rebind my F key, game? NO, YOU WILL SIT HERE AND BEHOLD THE PERSON WHO SHOT THOU! Seriously, wtf?

EDIT: It's also stupidly net-code buggy. I'm getting melee killed from people who are ten+feet away from me, facing the other direction.

It certainly is more responsive and easy to play then BF4, thank god. That game made me feel like I was covered in molasses the entire time.
