About the cards, as far as I know they are no longer available as there is no mention of them in any of the pledges.
Still waiting to receive my card :(

The cheapest package which which will get you the game is the "Scout" package and this includes the Aurora and this is the last week you will still be able to get lifetime insurance on your ship. Upgrading your pledge to a more expensive ship is also possible so even if you don't know for sure yet which ship you want, just get the Scout package and upgrade later if you wish to do so.
huhu...i thought you'd say...who is this underpants guy that knows me :) any chance you might join us for bf4?

thx for the tips...i guess no card for me...i hope at least you get yours. i am still wondering though...i mean the game comes out late 2014 8O . btw what does a lifetime insurance do?

Lifetime Insurance - [Carefull complicated topic] SC will be a game with PERMANENT Death for both Player AND Ship.
But normally you dont die, because you will eject from the Ship before it explodes. If you have payed for Insurance on your ship, you will get THAT ship back, WITHOUT the cargo or any other extra addon you bought Afterwards. (like better guns, thrusters, etc)
When the game goes life, you will have to pay virtual money, to insure your ship, which will only last a set amount of time. After that time you will have to pay again to get another insurance... etc.

With the Lifetime Insurance you will have THAT SHIP from your Pledge-Package for a lifetime. Every other ship you will buy later on, will have to be insured seperatly.

I hope i made myself clear somehow...

Edit:

And i am not exactly sure, if the lifetime insurance is still available after the kickstarter campaign. (which is over)

Sounds good to me!

On another topic, I've always played the 'good citizen' in these kind of games. It could be cool to try out some kind of piracy scheme, or something else equally unscrupulous

Maybe.... smuggling?

Not as dangerous as piracy. With a good layd out plan, we might get away without even somebody noticing us breaking the law. ;)

If we are in full fleet, we might aswell threat somebody to drop his cargo.....
But thats risky

Here is whats going to happen:

6 Ships try to smuggle goods.

I notice police at the horizon.
"Hey guys, there is police coming, we should Hide ... guys? .... hello?"
Suddenly i am all alone out there!

Is possession of stolen property a crime? We just innocently 'found' the highly lucrative cargo drifting in space.

Maybe some of us made it 'drifting in space' before you guys picked it up

Anyway, it's a full year and a half to two years till release, so we have plenty of time to regain our senses from this life of crime.

I'll be joining for sure - its my kind of game where I can sit up all night drinkin wine and still accomplish something. I'm not too sure about signing up early yet. Just like any other game you will be wanting to dump your first ship asap so it won't matter if youv'e got lifetime insurance on it, but does anyone know anything about alpha and beta access? Cuz that might be worth signing up early for if its the only way.
