While it is true that first turn does offer advantages, I had a lot of things in my favor from that screen shot. I had about 3x the amount of your troops plus mine where a tech level above yours. You have spear man, swordsman, and composite bowman to my pikeman, longsword, and crossbows. I caught your army out of position and were able to pound them when they came to assist.
For the future we could adjust the "first turn" for the defender in a war. Or we can go back to twitched based.

So it seems like there are A LOT of new players that got the game.
Is anyone interested in a month long tournament between GC players? Not sure how it will work... but maybe this might be worth doing sometime?

Not sure how many of ya'll are still playing Civ, but I've been much too busy to really think about organizing something. I'll have some breathing room after tomorrow and so if there are any people that are interested in a potentially 1-2 month long Civ tournament, please let me know!

Looks like Amazon will have Civ V G&K for $7.49 during their Black Friday sales! If you play Civ and want more... I HIGHLY recommend the G&K Expansion.

Some of the original crew started playing Civ V again.
Anyone interested in joining us sometime?
Unfortunatley, if you're EU, chances are, we won't be able to play together. Civ V is horrible when it comes to latency issues. EU players should get together and play with one another though!

So we were playing our game yesterday but never finished.
This is a post to remind you guys to join up on TS at around 6:30-7PM so that we can finish our game. (Gardalop, Henidhor, Cognito, Myself)

We're usually on in the evenings. Come join us!
Also, Henidhor, Cognito, Snow Wolf, don't forget to get on tonight so we can actually finish a game. I'll be on at around 7 PM today.
