Ok so I always played a lot of CS but I never got into comp until after I played Ranked in League and then switched to CS because of the toxicity (and it helps reflexes for BF). Last year I played provisionals and got Silver 3 then stopped because of school. This January I got into it on and off (mainly because it kept "unranking" me due to "inactivity")...
In early May I got to Silver Elite Master and kept that rank - I played comp consistently until I had to leave to China. Keep in mind I played at Silver Elite Master for TWO WHOLE MONTHS. I come back after less than two weeks and I'm fraking unranked again... It told me to play 1 game to get ranked again and I did. I literally carried the game and got 3 MVPs (which I KNOW FOR A FACT ADD POINTS TO YOUR ELO) and I fraking get ranked as Silver 1... wtf is this bullshit? it makes less sense than League's toxicity.

Also, at the end of your re-ranking match, what was everyone else's ranks? Did you win in the end? Ranking is weird, especially initially. In any case, it should correct itself pretty quick since you should be wrecking silver players if you aren't completely garbage. I think when I first ranked a few months ago, I actually ranked to SE or SEM, and now I'm a GN3. So it shouldn't take long for you to blow past the silver ranks. Also, be aware that the toxicity gets worse when you move into Gold Novas. I don't know why, but people at the SEM rank seem to cooperate more.
