Important! - Daylight savings

Post by .Sup »

Start of today´s battleday is affected for USA and Canada who have moved clocks forward one hour which means battleday will start an hour later than usually for them.
  • Israel - Friday, 29 March 2013: 02:00 forward to 03:00
  • There is no DST for Argentina in 2013
  • People from the old continent will move clocks forward on the 31st of March.
For more info see: wiki/index.php?title=Daylight_Savings

Additionally we will have EUBO & NABO scrims this Tuesday at regular BO times (again except for USA and Canada who will start an hour later).
The signups in ABC for BOs will be open tomorrow.

I will try to explain it further using Saturday´s SBT as reference.

Since USA and Canada moved clocks forward, SBT for them, will occur an hour earlier so when its SBT for them its SBT-1 for the rest of us. But when we go into DST, Euro time is the reference, so it has to be SBT for us Euros and the rest of the world, which means it will be SBT+1 for Americans at that time.

That means when the timer hits 00:00:00 for the Americans it wont be live yet but will be an hour later.

oh, you mean the battle day ends an hour earlier for you now and you get an extra hour to sleep before you have to get up.
i thought you mean that during the time change you got an extra hour, which you actually lost because the time was moved forward and that night you lost one hour of sleep.

anyway, the timer hits 00:00:00 for everyone at the same time and the battle day begins. i took care of it .sup

Reminder, this is the last weekend that the US will be out of sink SBT +1.
April 6th will bring the US back to their normal time of SBT +0.

During the change over the front page may be an hour out of date for the black ops battles.

The BO starts an hour earlier than stated by the countdown timer.

Can someone clarify what time NABO starts for US Central time?
I thought it was 8pm (9pm eastern). But it's 5:30pm now and the countdown timer shows 3 hours and 30 mins (which would be 9pm central.

It's an hour earlier than the timer says.
