Windows 7 RC1 and games
I'm getting my laptop for lollege soon and since Penn State is going to be upgrading to Win7 on release (or so I was told at my orientation meeting today) I figure I should just go ahead and install the RC to my lappy when I get it. and since the lappy comes with only 32 bit vista and 4 GB of RAM, free 64 bit OS seems nice to me. and then when win7 gets released officially I can get for cheap/free thru lollege (at least thats what they did with vista even though they still officially use xp)
so on to my question, who all is using win7 as of right now? main games I play are eve, tf2, l4d, and bf2/pr with yall here. any issues with these couple on the current win7 RC?

I couldn't get PR to run at all on my Vista machine. I upgraded to Win7 RC1 and it ran perfectly with all the highest specs and no-modifications or work-arounds. As far as my other games I play CoD4, l4d, TF2, DoW, Dungeons and Dragons: Online, and a few others here and there and I have NEVER had a problem with Win7. Honestly, it is a great OS and I'm very confident you will enjoy it.

oh man, this instantly kicked in a visual of a Roman troop from Asterix and Obelix... but I can't find a good image to link to! Yarr! You ever read their comics?HumanSpeedbump wrote:$150 a day is almost twice what I make and I get shot at for a living.

I imagine it's not very comical if you don't get the reference. I'd scan one of those quotes from my comics, but they're all in Dutch so that doesn't really help anyone (except Stonie, and Hashey if he still reads the boards)

Yes i still read these forums from time to time.
And lol, that's from when Asterix and Obelix join the roman legion and get sent to Africa right?
Those books are awesome, ye. Got all of em here aswell.
Btw, you guys going to switch to OFP2:DR when it's released? If it's as good as OFP1, i'd sure as hell come back.
got tf2 running (finally...working 10 hour days gives me like no time) and I'm getting an average frame rate of around 80 with everything on recommended settings more or less
havent gotten a chance to update l4d yet tol get it going, but so far everything is running great in win7
