BF2 crashes (resolved)
So i bought new graphics card and new monitor. VGA is Zotac 8800GTS 512MB and monitor is samsung 226BW. The problem is that BF2 crashes to the desktop seconds after i start it... DiRT and Guild Wars run normally without any problem... how do i stop these crashes?

It crashes because wrong resolution is set in game. Reinstall will do the trick. However i have a fix for BF2 so you won't need to reinstal. Uploaded for ya: http://shrani.si/f/K/Ib/2Wc1oZte/1/nast ... osti-z.png
Since you have a 22" LCD you will need to change the part "1920x1200" to "1600x1200.

nope, just delete the cache folder there
first set the nvidia graphic card driver to the right resolution (1680x1050 75Hz), then change desktop bf2 start link to -> "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +fullscreen 0 +szx 800 +szy 600 <- this will open BF2 in windowed mode 800X600 - you should be able to go into options menu and set it to another resolution i.e. 1280x1024 75 Hz.
then you can fix the start link to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
for AIX "C:\Programme\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/aix +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
[if the resolution (Hz) is too high it will normally switch to default 60Hz which will stay in windows after that too, so you have to set it in Nvidia panel right.]

+fullscreen and +widescreen should be the same and do the same
+fullscreen when not using the widescreenfixer (not fixing FOV)
(+fullscreen +szx WS +szy WS is stretching 4:3 a bit but cropping the vertical- also HUD isn't circle anymore)
+widescreen when using the widescreenfixer (fixing FOV) only:

After you started and ended the Fixer you'll find a wsf.ini file in it's folder.
The ";" key is for english language version of XP, it's "ü" key for german version, in wsf.ini it should be an entry Hotkey=186 (interger)
I don't know what language Version of XP you use.
The update is for updating in milliseconds, set it to a low rate for BF.
And RTFRM please

do you have Keyboard with cyrillic? You might do a search for on google.
update should be less than 250, BF fixing needs to update more often - try 150
srry, can't help you further with that yet - have to go to work
cya on battlefield later!
